The National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) is the only national organization that exclusively represents activity professionals working in primarily geriatric settings. The association provides opportunities for professional development and personal growth.

NAAP will celebrate 2018 National Activity Professionals Week Jan. 21-27. This year’s theme is “People, Purpose, Passion”:

  • “The definition of people is human beings making up a group or assembly or linked by a common interest, and the National Association of Activity Professionals brings us all closer together.
  • “The definition of purpose is the reason for which anything is done, created, or exists. The activity profession is constantly changing, especially with the federal regulations and the Activity Critical Element Pathway. The one thing that never changes is our love and dedication for our fellow activity professionals.
  • “The definition of passion is any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love. The National Association of Activity Professionals is honored and privileged to share the love for you and your residents in your community.”

The association offers a National Activity Professional Week Packet with details about the 2018 observance.
