The 2017 NPA Spring Policy Forum was held March 20-22 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. Policy and political experts discussed the scope and direction of potential reforms that may reshape the health care system. The new administration is calling for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, and possible changes to Medicare and Medicaid are in the spotlight.
Attendees had the opportunity to interact with staff from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), state representatives and others about targeted federal and state initiatives impacting PACE directly and indirectly. It has never been more important for the PACE community to make its presence known on Capitol Hill, and NPA provided attendees the opportunity to educate members of Congress and their staffs through in-person meetings.
Forum participants heard from thought leaders and policy-makers about what’s ahead, developed a better understanding of the changing landscape, and had numerous opportunities to network with their peers.
