The National PACE Association (NPA) will join the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in celebrating Healthcare Quality Week Oct. 15-21. The observance recognizes health care quality professionals for their contributions to the field and their valuable impact on health care.

The quality of health care affects everyone, as does the cost of that care. Patients, quality practitioners and health care providers all have a stake in learning what is being done to improve the quality of care and make it more efficient and affordable.

This is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness about health care quality programs, the work of the professionals and their influence on improved patient care outcomes, and how quality improvement enhances the patient experience.

There are a number of ways to get involved in Healthcare Quality Week:

  • Host a “Lunch and Learn” event to promote the work of the health care quality team at your organization.
  • Use storyboards to highlight the health care quality efforts and successes at your organization.
  • Post updates and discussions on your social media channels (#HQW2017).
  • Participate in the free webinars that NAHQ offers during the week-long celebration.
