Enrollment and Ongoing Operations

Early in the program’s operations, the organization will need to focus on building its census.  During this time it is also important to ensure that planned systems and procedures for establishing the interdisciplinary team, integrating services and allocating resources are working effectively.

As the program matures, the PACE^® program continues to build upon and improve existing operations, increase census and consider plans for future expansion.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the state will continue ongoing monitoring of the program.  The PACE^® program will be responsible for meeting evolving state and federal regulatory requirements.

• Core Resource Set for PACE (CRSP)  (Members Only) – a compendium of PACE program operational resources to assist providers in PACE development, start-up and expansion including PACE operating resources, a guide to preparing the PACE provider application and the PACE financial proforma (Click here for a non-member overview of CRSP)
• Performance benchmarking for service outcomes, utilization and costs
• Networking List Serves (Members Only) – the list serves focus on various disciplines within PACE and facilitate problem solving and information exchange
• Keeping the PACE newsletter (Members Only) – a biweekly email newsletter featuring the latest association, regulatory and health care news
• PACE Learning Series (Members Only) – a teleconference series that features sessions on topics relevant to disciplines within PACE
• Discounted NPA Conference registration fees (Members Only)
• Federal Advocacy – NPA works with CMS to help direct and understand federal policies and distributes updates to members
• State Advocacy – NPA works with states to help direct and understand state policies and distributes updates to members
• NPA Communications – NPA facilitates communications between federal and state agencies and peer-to-peer interactions
• CMS-sponsored meetings
