State Resources
PACE® programs are a three-way partnership between the provider, the state, and the federal government. The National PACE Association has worked to create resources to help states develop a capacity to administer PACE programs.

Accelerating State Access to PACE (ASAP) is an NPA program that provided grants, direct technical assistance and training to states in order to expand the availability of PACE. ASAP was made possible by a two-year grant from the John A. Hartford Foundation awarded in 2001. A number of permanent resources have been developed to assist states in developing PACE. A follow-up grant from the John A. Hartford Foundation provided funds in 2008 to update these materials.

State Issue Briefs were developed by the State Work Group on PACE which was convened by the National PACE Association to assist states in making PACE® available to consumers as a long term care option.

State Challenges: NPA has develop a series of briefs that outline major challenges states are facing as they plan for their future long term care needs and how increased availability of PACE® would be part of strategies to address these challenges.
