Intergenerational Exchange at the Ron Chew Healthy Aging & Wellness Center

Participants at the Ron Chew Healthy Aging & Wellness Center, a program of International Community Health Services, are benefiting from an intergenerational exchange with a local child development center.
“One of the gentlemen in our program was not responding much before the children came to visit; we were worried he was depressed,” said recreational therapist Heidi Wesley. “The moment the children entered, his face lit up. He became active and engaged. Just a few minutes of happiness can have a big impact.”
