Mountain Empire PACE Keeps Participants Cool and Safe During Heat Wave

Last week’s heat wave and continuing high temperatures have kept Mountain Empire PACE busy keeping participants cool and safe.
“We are responsible for them 24/7," said Ruby Kennedy, director of PACE at Mountain Empire Older Citizens (MEOC). "Their well-bring rests in our hands, so it doesn’t matter if a hurricane comes through or if a blizzard or heat wave strikes.”
