The 2023 NPA Annual Conference will be held Sept. 18-21 in Miami Beach, FL. Symposiums on a range of topics relevant to PACE will be held on Monday, Sept. 18, followed by educational sessions Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 19-21.
The conference will be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The room rate is $279 single/double. Hotel reservations are now open. You can make your reservation online or by calling 800-548-8886. Be sure to mention PACE to receive a special discounted rate. For group reservations, select Option. The deadline for reservations to receive the discounted rate is Aug. 28, based on availability. If rooms sell out at that rate prior to the deadline, prevailing room rates will apply. For more information, contact the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
Due to venue availability, the conference schedule will be slightly different this year. Pre-conference activities will be held on Monday, Sept. 18; and the conference will open on Tuesday, Sept. 19, with break-out sessions, the Opening General Session and the Opening Night Reception. You can view the tentative agenda.
The keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Chris Bashinelli, who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, to Lebanese and Italian-American parents. After a decade-long acting career, including an appearance on the HBO hit television show “The Sopranos,” Bashinelli decided to follow his real passion: using media to build bridges between cultures. He now traverses the globe, from Uganda to Haiti, as host of “Bridge the Gap,” a television series featured on PBS and the National Geographic Channel, where he experiences life in someone else’s shoes.
A celebrated speaker on diversity and inclusion, Bashinelli has traveled the world for more than a decade sharing a message of empathy and understanding. He will deliver the keynote address during the Opening General Session on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
More information about the conference, including a link for hotel reservations, will be available in early 2023. If you have any questions, please contact Venise Lewis.
