Black and White Ball Will Benefit Adult Day Center of Westerly and PACE Rhode Island

January 30, 2019

The Adult Day Center of Westerly and PACE Organization of Rhode Island have been chosen as the recipients of the annual Black and White Ball on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Ocean House, a historic hotel in Watch Hill, RI.

“We are thrilled to be this year’s Black and White Ball recipient and to further our relationship with the supportive community of Westerly,” said Joan Kwiatkowski, CEO of the Adult Day Center of Westerly and PACE Organization of Rhode Island.

“A sense of community is vital to our participants and our mission," she said. "We are deeply appreciative of the Ocean House for recognizing us at this prestigious event.”

Each year, the ball recognizes a different local nonprofit, which chooses a theme highlighting its unique mission and values. This year’s theme is “The Golden Age of Hollywood,” celebrating a time that many participants admire and incorporating the notion that the later years in life are the “golden years.” The event will feature glamorous elements of old Hollywood, classic movie-themed food stations, and live music from the New Providence Big Band.

Additional sponsorship of the event is provided by Hinckley Allen, Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, Pawtucket Credit Union, Professional Planning Committee, Washington Trust and L&M Westerly Hospital.

The Adult Day Center of Westerly and PACE Organization of Rhode Island serve older adults who wish to maintain their independence and live in the community.
