Deadline Extended to Submit Abstracts for 2016 Health IT Summit

The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) has announced a call for abstracts for the 2016 Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) Health IT Summit, which will be held June 26-28 in Reston, VA.

Hosted by AHIMA, in collaboration with the National PACE Association and other organizations, the annual event brings together key stakeholders in the health care industry, including health information technology leaders, policy-makers, leading providers, and federal and state grantees. As part of the LTPAC Health IT Collaborative, they work to advance policies and initiatives aligning with the national health care strategy.

At this year's summit AHIMA and its collaborators will highlight advancements in electronic health information exchange, patient engagement, and data analytics to support population health. Other topics include health information technologies and processes; consumer engagement; confidentiality, privacy and security; coding, classification and reimbursement; health care leadership and innovation; health informatics; and information governance and standards.

The deadline to submit abstracts has been extended to Feb. 12. For more information, visit the AHIMA website.
