Lutheran Senior LIFE at Jersey City Appoints New Leadership

Lutheran Senior LIFE at Jersey City, in New Jersey, has appointed two key members to its leadership team. Ritu Suri, MD, CMD, is the new medical director, and Christine Lesicko, RN, BSN, MBA, has been named vice president and executive director. Lutheran Senior LIFE is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE®) that delivers health care services to Hudson County seniors with chronic care needs.

“We are very excited to welcome these two highly respected health care professionals to the staff at Lutheran Senior LIFE,” said Beth Sparling, COO of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, a nonprofit, social service organization that oversees the Lutheran Senior LIFE at Jersey City program. “Both women bring to our program an energetic spirit filled with devotion and compassion to serve the area’s disadvantaged and underserved senior population.”

Ritu Suri, MD, CMD

Dr. Suri is board-certified in family medicine, geriatric medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine and specializes in primary care and geriatrics. As medical director, she will provide direction and supervision of all clinical aspects of care provided to Lutheran Senior LIFE participants. She will lead the interdisciplinary care team and oversee the effectiveness of service delivery to ensure participants receive the highest quality of care and thrive in the program.

Christine Lesicko, RN, BSN, MBA

Prior to joining Lutheran Senior LIFE, Lesicko was vice president of Health Services at Affinity Health Plan in the Bronx, NY, regional director of Care Coordination at Visiting Nurse Service of NY, and director of Integrated Services at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services in New York City. She has a wealth of knowledge as a strategic health care and medical management leader.

Lutheran Senior LIFE provides management of individualized health needs and personal care services for seniors, enabling them to remain independent and live in their homes and communities. The program provides consistent social interactivity, outpatient services, and home health and home care services, including meals and family/caregiver support services.

To be eligible, seniors must be age 55 or over, live in select ZIP codes within Hudson County, be certified by the state at a nursing home level of care, and be able to live safely at home.
