August 5, 2016

The National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the National Institutes of Health, has updated its booklet, "Long-Distance Caregiving: 20 Questions and Answers."

Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE®) are listed as a resource in the booklet, which was developed as a gateway to ideas and resources that can help make long-distance caregiving more manageable and satisfying.

Long-distance caregivers can be helpful no matter how far away they live. The new NIA booklet focuses on some issues that are unique to long-distance caregiving, as well as information that is important for caregivers to know whether they live next door or across the country.
