Saint Francis LIFE Welcomes New Medical Director

Paul Eberts, MD, is the new medical director of Saint Francis LIFE in Delaware.

"I am looking forward to working with LIFE's comprehensive team and the LIFE provider network in caring for the elderly and providing the highest quality medical care to help them age in place in the community," said Dr. Eberts, who is board-certified in family and geriatric medicine.

He will be responsible for the 229 participants at Saint Francis LIFE who live in New Castle County.

Dr. Eberts has held various positions at Saint Francis Healthcare, including family practice medical director, employee health medical director, Family Medicine Residency Training Program director and family practice physician. He chaired the Graduate Medical Education Committee and served on the Ambulatory Care Quality Improvement Committee, Readmission Task Force and Palliative Care Committee.

Most recently, he provided primary care for Penn Medicine and geriatric medical services at several senior living communities and long-term care facilities. He was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Practice at the Temple University School of Medicine and in the Department of Family and Community Health at the Marshall University School of Medicine. A graduate of Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Eberts is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
