Trinity Health PACE Acquires LIFE UPenn Program

May 24, 2016

Trinity Health PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) has acquired LIFE UPenn, in Philadelphia, PA, which was formerly owned and operated by the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

LIFE UPenn has been renamed Mercy LIFE – West Philadelphia, in affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. The center will be managed and operated by Trinity MSO Pennsylvania, a management organization comprised of leadership from Trinity Health PACE and Mercy LIFE, a member of Mercy Health System that operates four LIFE (Living Independently for Elders) centers in Philadelphia and Delaware County.

“We’re thrilled to add Mercy LIFE – West Philadelphia to our growing organization, as we are now able to provide even more seniors in need with quality, compassionate care services,” said Kelly Hopkins, president and CEO of Trinity Health PACE. “We appreciate the valuable contributions made by LIFE UPenn and the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing to ease this transition for our new colleagues and program members. We are excited about the future of Mercy LIFE – West Philadelphia and the seniors it serves.”

Later this year, Trinity Health PACE will host a grand reopening of the LIFE center, further aligning the facility with the mission-driven regional health focus of Trinity.
