June 9, 2021

The White House has released a memo urging business executives to convene their leadership teams immediately to discuss ransomware threats and review corporate security posture and business continuity plans.

The June 2 memo, from Anne Neuberger, deputy assistant to President Biden and deputy national security advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology, reiterates high-impact best practices for organizations to adopt. These include multi-factor authentication, endpoint detection and response, encryption, and skilled, empowered security teams.

The National PACE Association (NPA) encourages its members to adopt strong system security measures to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
