Total Senior Care Will Open New Site in Wellsville, NY, Next Month

Total Senior Care, a PACE® program headquartered in Olean, NY, has been authorized by the state and federal government to begin serving all of Allegany and Chautauqua counties.

The program has been serving Cattaraugus County since 2009 and 10 townships of Allegany County since 2010.

“We have been anticipating this approval for several months,” said Carol Mahoney, CEO and president. ”Our employees and board of directors are excited about the opportunity to bring PACE’s all-inclusive care to those in need in Allegany and Chautauqua counties.”

House Passes Older Americans Act Reauthorization

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Older Americans Act Reauthorization (S. 192) on Monday.

"We are excited to see the Older Americans Act on the verge of reauthorization, and we applaud the House for this important step," said Kathy Greenlee, assistant secretary for Aging. Nearly 45 million older adults live in the United States today, and that number is growing rapidly.
