Molly Crumley Honored for Work with Residents, Staff Who Are Blind and Deaf

Molly Crumley, RN, director of operations at the Mercy LIFE Valley View Center, in Elwyn, PA, was recognized for her work with residents and staff who are blind and deaf.

She received the Sister Mary Concilia Moran Award from the Catholic Health Association of the United States.

The annual award is one of the top honors bestowed on professionals working in Catholic health care organizations.

Dan Driscoll, President and CEO of Harbor Health Services, Will Retire This Fall

Dan Driscoll, president and CEO of Harbor Health Services, based in Mattapan, MA, will retire in October after 39 years.

"PACE was a new and not widely known model when Harbor made the commitment back in 1994 and hired three staff to plan our program," Driscoll said. "We subsequently opened in 1996. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary. It has been an immensely satisfying experience for me."

Sen. Eileen Donoghue Visits State-of-the-Art Element Care PACE Center in Lowell

State Sen. Eileen Donoghue recently visited the new Element Care Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE®) in downtown Lowell, MA. The PACE center is one of the most advanced in the country.

Sen. Donoghue met with executive director Robert Wakefield, the medical team and program participants to learn about the vision of Element Care and its care model for healthy aging in the community. PACE is helping to address the needs of the aging population in Lowell and surrounding Merrimack Valley communities.

Element Care Receives Green Building Award

Element Care has received the 2016 Green Building Award for its property on Central Street in Lowell, MA. Lowell Mayor Ed Kennedy presented the award from the Lowell Sustainability Council at a ceremony on May 17 at Lowell City Hall.

Catherine Nierenberg Promoted to Director of Rehabilitation at Element Care

Catherine Nierenberg, MS, CCC-SLP, has been promoted to director of Rehabilitation at Element Care PACE in Lynn, MA. She will provide leadership and administrative and clinical oversight for the rehabilitation programs at the eight Element Care PACE centers, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
