Every May, the Administration on Aging (AoA), part of the Administration for Community Living, leads the national observance of Older American’s Month. AoA has announced that the 2018 theme will be "Engage at Every Age," which emphasizes that people are never too old to take part in activities that enrich their physical, mental and emotional well-being. The theme also celebrates the many ways older adults make a difference in our communities.

Being engaged can mean participating in activities that promote mental and physical wellness, offering wisdom and experience to the next generation, and seeking the mentorship of someone with more life experience.

AoA provides materials to help promote and celebrate Older American’s Month. Visit the Older Americans Month website for logos, posters and more.

The official hashtag of the observance is #OAM18.
