The Physical Therapist I is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist instructs and directs Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as assigned. This position evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore and enhance physical functional performance, and promote injury prevention. The Physical Therapist performs documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Practice Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- No Weekends, Evenings, or Holidays
- Performs comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning.
- Develops a treatment plan with measurable goals based on patient assessment. Physical Therapy. Provides physical therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment.
- Completes appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning.
- Provides physical therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment.
- Trains and educates patients and family members or other support and documents understanding of treatment plan and goals.
- Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
- Documents and submits patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
- Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
- Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree- Physical Therapy- Required
- Master's Degree- Physical Therapy- Required
- Doctorate- Physical Therapy- Preferred
- 1 Year Physical Therapy Experience- Preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)- American Heart Association- Required
- Physical Therapist License (PT)- State Licensing Board- Required
