CEI Foundation Hosts Fundraiser to Benefit New Centers

Posted on: October 7, 2024

The CEI Foundation hosted its Second Annual Tri-Valley Texas Hold 'em Tournament to benefit the two new facilities of the Center for Elders' Independence (CEI). More than 160 community leaders, government officials, influencers, sponsors, and CEI staff and volunteers took part in a night of friendly competition, socialization and networking.

The event featured giveaways and prizes, with a grand prize of $500.

The funds raised during the tournament will go toward furnishing and equipping the two new CEI centers, which are set to open in 2025. The new centers will play a vital role in promoting health equity for seniors, helping them stay active, healthy and empowered while continuing to live independently at home.

On hand for the event were CEI CEO and president Maria E. Zamora and CEI Foundation director Tom Hyland (pictured), as well as Contra Costa County supervisor Ken Carlson and Councilwoman Marisol R. Rubio.
