San Diego PACE, a program of San Ysidro Health, is celebrating a decade of impact and growth in senior care. The program has been a lifeline to seniors and their families in San Diego, CA, since 2015.

In honor of its 10th anniversary, the San Diego City Council proclaimed Feb. 25, 2025, as San Diego PACE Day. The proclamation celebrates a decade of dedication and service, acknowledging the critical role the program plays in enhancing the well-being of seniors throughout the region.

“San Diego PACE is not just a program; it’s a lifeline,” said Kevin Mattson, president and CEO of San Ysidro Health. “By providing comprehensive care, we empower seniors to remain active, connected and independent, while providing critical support to their caregivers. This proclamation is a testament to the hard work and compassion of our entire team and the lasting impact we’ve had on the lives of over 2,000 individuals and their families.”

San Diego PACE is the second largest program of its kind in California and the fourth largest in the nation. The program serves more than 2,000 seniors across the southern, central, eastern and northern regions of San Diego County, with locations in Chula Vista, El Cajon, San Ysidro and Vista. Another site is slated to open later this year in National City.
