Mercy LIFE West Philadelphia Earns Pathway to Excellence Designation

Posted on: June 16, 2025

Mercy LIFE West Philadelphia has earned the prestigious Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), joining an elite group of health care organizations deemed most committed to nursing excellence. It is the only Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in the country to have received this honor.

Having received previous designations in 2012, 2016 and 2020, Mercy LIFE West Philadelphia continues to meet the extensive criteria of this global recognition, such as maintaining a staff of highly accomplished nurses and a healthy work environment, exhibiting strong evidence-based practices, and offering professional growth opportunities and equitable compensation for all employees.

The Pathway to Excellence designation has significant implications for Mercy LIFE West Philadelphia and the broader community. The prestigious recognition not only underscores the commitment of the facility to nursing excellence, but the commitment of PACE to excellence in fostering better health outcomes and increasing patient satisfaction, which positively impact the overall well-being of the community.

To merit receiving the designation, organizations must have experienced nurses dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of their patients. Mercy LIFE West Philadelphia, part of Trinity Health PACE, takes pride in its compassionate nursing staff.

“We are so proud of the hard work and dedication of our PACE nurses, who provide outstanding care to our participants,” said Molly Crumley, Chief Nursing Officer at Trinity Health PACE.
