Swimming Brings Seniors Health and Happiness

As adults age, swimming provides a way to stay active and social, which can improve their quality of life. Swimming is linked to both cognitive and physical benefits, such as reducing stress and improving social connections and overall fitness.
“Swimming is a great form of exercise,” says Sean Drake, MD, of PACE Southeast Michigan. "Many older patients who have arthritis in weight-bearing joints find swimming is something that they still can do."
