Position Purpose:

The Executive Director will lead the startup, development, and operations of the PACE Organization (PO). Responsibilities include overseeing planning, administration, personnel, and service delivery across primary care, provider networks, 24-hour care, therapeutic services, home care, transportation, and quality assurance. The role ensures financial viability, growth, and strong business relationships while maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations and advocating for PACE policies.

Position Details:

  • Trinity Health PACE programs offer continuous, quality care to the elderly, allowing them the independence of living at home. Seniors who qualify for nursing home care alternatively have the option to receive comprehensive care from an interdisciplinary team of experts, all focused on improving participants’ health.
  • At our centers, seniors receive clinical and rehabilitation therapy and build relationships with doctors, nurses and fellow participants – all under one roof.

  • This position will oversee two existing PACE programs, - PACE Baton Rouge and PACE Lafayette.  The position will be housed in Baton Rouge with regular travel to Lafayette as needed.

What you will do:

  • Lead the development and management of annual budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Oversee operational performance to ensure goals and financial targets are met.
  • Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations and policies relevant to business operations. 
  • Manage staff through evaluation, mentorship, coaching, and discipline. 
  • Lead the development of long-term goals, policies, and strategic initiatives.  
  • Ensure proper staffing, training, and competencies for high-quality care.   
  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and leadership development for a strong team.   
  • Build strategic partnerships to support policy goals.      
  • Develop alliances with key stakeholders to influence PACE policy.        
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement evidence-based programs for quality and safety improvement.     
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.        
  • Lead and support system-wide initiatives for continuous improvement.           
  • Regularly update senior leaders, medical staff, and stakeholders on key achievements and concerns.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Five (5) years of experience in providing direct patient care or equivalent experience in related field.
  • Seven (7) years direct supervisory experience, preferably in progressive leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements and understanding of the healthcare environment and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Previous PACE experience strongly preferred
  • At least one (1) year experience working with the frail elder population within home care, hospice, community care and/or long-term care management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
  • Expertise in system thinking, change leadership, shared governance, and financial management.
  • Superior collaboration, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict, adapt to change, and stay customer focused Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Position may require 10% travel within the Centers geographic region.
