Position Summary:

The PACE Executive Director is responsible for executive oversight and leadership for a multi-site PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization. This includes overall responsibility for operations, clinical care and service delivery, growth, quality outcome and improvement initiatives, compliance, staff development, community engagement, strategic planning, and financial performance for the program.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively directs and manages PACE site leadership in the recruitment, development, and supervision of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and support staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a high-quality clinical care delivery and service model that provides safe and effective participant care, improves efficiency, and responds to participant and community needs.
  • Builds strong and collaborative relationships with the community, including but not limited to, healthcare partners, community organizations, local, state, and regional government entities, and social services agencies; represents the PACE program at the state and national levels and associations.
  • Responsible for ensuring growth to budget projections (or greater) of the PACE program through outreach, intake and enrollment efforts and related goals; works with the marketing department to establish an effective marketing plan to achieve enrollment objectives.
  • In collaboration with the compliance department, develops, implements, and oversees the annual compliance plan and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines; ensures collaboration with government agencies regarding regulatory requirements and laws governing the PACE program.
  • Oversees policies and procedures that govern the PACE program.
  • Ensures financial sustainability of the program by overseeing the creation and adherence to the PACE budget, cost effective operations, revenue integrity and adherence to CMS and state fiscal soundness reporting requirements.
  • Participates in the creation of the Everent PACE strategic and operational initiatives and is responsible for leading implementation and successful execution to determined outcomes.
  • Provides key performance indicator reports and any variance correction plans on PACE initiatives and operational metrics to the COO & CEO for reporting to the Board of Directors, including enrollment activities, financial performance, outreach and marketing activity, and quality outcomes.
  • Responsible for notifying CMS and the State of any required notifications within established time limits.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including, but not limited to, health care administration, business administration, master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience working with the medically complex, frail and elderly.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a PACE leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of geriatric patient population, underserved/underrepresented communities and the seriously ill, including the long-term care eligible population.
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience in successfully developing, marketing, and scaling programs/services. Must possess strong financial and budget management skills and demonstrate the ability to successfully build effective teams.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, and make independent decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and community stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity, achieving desired outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must maintain valid CPR certification.
  • Food handling permit required, to be completed upon hire.
