“The most significant needs for seniors are good housing, health care, and a sense of community,” said Paul Soczynski, senior vice president of Health Care at Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS).

The New Jersey Department of Human Services is expanding PACE to four counties: Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex and Warren. The expansion is the last step in the goal to make PACE an option for older adults in every county of the state, said Sarah Adelman, commissioner of New Jersey Human Services.

Blue Ridge Independence at Home won the top spot in the Small Footprint category of the 2024 Senior Housing News Architecture and Design Awards for its PACE center in Winchester, VA. The center design "conjures a more home-like than clinical atmosphere," reports Senior Housing News.

Emily Dawson Petersen has been appointed executive director of Colorado PACE, an affiliate of Care Synergy. Upham's PACE, in Boston, MA, has been designated “Age-Friendly” by the city after staff conducted walk-through visits at two centers of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The Boston Age-Friendly Project is a collaborative effort to make the city a better place to live and age.
